From Spaniel Chaos to Structured Fun: The Story of Scurry Dog

If you’ve ever lived with a spaniel - or any energetic, “drivey” breed - you know how full of enthusiasm they can be.

That’s exactly the problem Scurry Dog set out to solve: giving owners a clear, structured, and enjoyable way to channel their dogs’ natural instincts.

How It Started

Scurry Dog was created by Aleks and Clare, trainers who’ve spent years working with working-breed dogs. Time and again, they saw the same patterns:

• Behaviour is tied to breed traits. Dogs bred for work have natural instincts. If those instincts aren’t used, you see stress, overexcitement, or frustration.

• The advice out there is overwhelming. Many people don’t realise that behaviour isn’t “bad,” it’s just a mismatch between what the dog was bred for and what it’s getting at home. Between conflicting information online and training programs that don’t fit real life, many owners lose confidence. 

• Traditional gundog training can feel out of reach. Traditional forms of gundog training were either not relevant to owners everyday life goals, or they found there were barriers to access, especially for non-gundog breeds.

  
  

Aleks and Clare wanted to change this - not with more theory, but with something practical, achievable, and fun.
